class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Kuala Lumpur, 27 Mac 2021<\/strong> &#8211; Institute for Research and Development of Policy (IRDP) menggesa kerajaan memberikan penjelasan mengapa pendaftaran pemilih automatik dan kelayakan mengundi 18 tahun hanya boleh dilaksanakan pada September 2022.<\/p><p>Alasan negara menghadapi wabak COVID-19 untuk menangguhkan pelaksanaan Undi 18 adalah tidak munasabah. Ini kerana persiapan yang perlu dilakukan oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) adalah melibatkan sistem maya dan bukan pergerakan secara fizikal.<\/p><p>Tambahan lagi, data yang diperolehi oleh kerajaan melalui sistem MySejahtera boleh membantu SPR dalam usaha melakukan pendaftaran automatik seterusnya bagi membolehkan Undi 18 dilaksanakan.<\/p><p>Alasan untuk menangguhkan Undi 18 akibat negara menghadapi COVID-19 ini bukan sahaja mencerminkan ketidaksungguhan kerajaan malah, memberikan gambaran seolah-olah kerajaan tidak telus dalam isu ini.<\/p><p>IRDP menggesa pihak kerajaan dan SPR untuk menjelaskan perkara ini secara teknikal sekiranya benar terdapat halangan dalam usaha melaksanakan pindaan Perkara 119 (1) Perlembagaan Persekutuan.<\/p><p><strong>Tan Sri Dato&#8217;
