Open access is the term used to describe the ability to consult a scientific document in an open format and for free.<\/p>

Malaysia does not yet have a policy on open access publication, whereas articles and journals are mostly only accessible behind a \u2018paywall\u2019. Mainly because there is no profound discussion done on the matter among academics.<\/p>

The idea of Open Access Publishing is to reverse the academics injustice by making articles and journal publications more available and free to access by everyone.<\/p>
